Camtasia MTS Tutorial - Open and Edit MTS/M2TS files in Camtasia Studio 7/8
Sometimes, we may choose the generally used Camtasia Studio to merge, split, trim, crop, edit and create videos. The following formats are able to be imported into Camtasia Studio for editing & production:
MP4 (AVC/h.264 at no more than 30 frames per second)

MTS and M2TS files. (Version 8.4 and later) You will need the AC-3 Filter if running Windows 7 or Winodws 8.0.

Easy Steps to Convert MTS/M2TS to Camtasia Studio 7/8 Friendly Format
Step 1: Load source files
Launch the MTS/M2TS Converter. Click the "Add Video" or "Add from folder" button on to load your MTS or M2TS videos. If you would like to join MTS files together, just select these files and check the "Merge into one" box.
Step 2: Choose Camtasia Studio supported format
Click "Format" bar and then move your pointer HD Video or Common Video-> AVI or WMV as target format. Besides, you can also choose MPEG-2(*.mpg) if you want to get a relatively smaller output file.
