There's no denying that the Canon XA10 is quite possibly the smallest professional camcorder to ever come through our doors. The XA10 captures your images on a 1/3-inch CMOS Image Sensor, uses the AVCHD codec and records up to 24Mbps with a 4:2:0 color space. Options in frame rates (60i, 30p Progressive, and native 24p) give you flexibility whether you're shooting for the web or want to give your video a more.

Many users take the videos via this camcorder to editors to do some postproduction. However, it is difficult for some common editing tools to support 1080p AVCHD videos. Actually, Sony Vegas mentions that it is working with MTS clips from camcorders on its official site, but some users still encounter troubles while imputing MTS files to this editor.

"I bought Canon XA10 recently. The format shows AVCHD Video (.MTS). I want to edit the videos I captured in Sony Vegas. However, the fact is that Sony Vegas can not recognize and support this kind of format. What should I do?"

Do you have the same problem mentioned above? Have you found the efficient way to solve the problem? You may have other method to make the Canon XA10 MTS compatible with Sony Vegas. However, the simplest workaround we find to make Vegas work with Canon XA10 MTS files is to convert these files to Vegas compatible formats like WMV/MPG first.
