The camcorder they are talking about is the Canon Vixia HF R21, a Canon’s newest entry-level HD camcorder and it’s designed as a replacement for last year’s HF R11. The camcorder comes with 32GB of internal flash memory, two memory card slots, and a new touchscreen interface on its 3-inch LCD.
Canon HF R21 uses the MPEG-4 codec to compress HD content recorded with the camcorder. All of the camcorder’s record modes are AVCHD compliant as well, which is the norm for consumer HD camcorders this day and age.
