How to Rip and Copy Blu-ray/DVD movies to Surface/Surface 2 tablets

The Microsoft Surface is a great divergence from just a simple tablet. You can use it for Office Docs when needed and also works great as a tablet. The DUO-Tablet! While, some users are troubled by the inability of adding Blu-ray/DVD movies onto the Surface (Surface 2) RT/Pro tablet, making it inaccessible to watch 1080p Blu-ray movies on the Windows 8 tablet. As you see, the Microsoft Surface (Pro and RT) is a great media player which supports a lot of media formats including MP4, XviD, DivX, WMV, MOV, H.264, H.263 video files. Requirements:

How to Rip Blu-ray/DVD to Surface/Surface 2 compatible video formats

Step 1. Load DVD/Blu-ray movies

Assume you've downloaded and installed the best Blu-ray/DVD software for Surface RT/Pro, run it. Click the File format bar to load your source movie(no matter from discs, ISO/IFO files) to the program.

Step 2. Choose output format

Move your mouse pointer to Format bar and tap it to choose the output format for Surface RT/Pro. "Windows > Microsoft Surface Windows RT H.264 Video (*.mp4)" is the best format for Microsoft Surface tablets.

Tips:
Before the conversion:
1. You can click "Edit" button to edit your movies by cropping, trimming, adding watermarks, etc.
2. You can choose the subtitles and audio track for the target video from the "Subtitles" and "Audio" options on the main interface.
3. If necessary, you can click the Settings icon to adjust the video size, bitrate and frame rate, audio sample rate and bitrate, etc. Keep in mind higher bitrate results in a bigger file size, and vice versa.

Step 3. Start the conversion

When you are satisfied with all the settings, you can click "Convert" and let the software do the DVD/Blu-ray to Surface (Surface 2) MP4 conversion. After the ripping, you can click "Open" to locate the converted MP4 video files and just transfer them to your Surface RT or Surface Pro without limitation!
