I’m using the Sony CX130. I use Final Cut Pro 7 on my iMac, but when I try to transfer the CX130 output videos to it, I discovered some compatibility problems between the camera and FCP. Wondering if anyone else has encountered, and if there are any workarounds, or a third party transcoder?
Sony HDR-CX130 is a high definition camcorder that supports Full HD recording in AVCHD at very high bit rate with 60p progressive shooting mode for highest image quality and smoothness. However, everything has two sides. When some users are satisfied with the Full HD videos, some users are frustrated in importing Sony HDR-CX130 AVCHD to FCP 7.
First, you need explicitly get to know that the favorable format for Final Cut Pro is Apple ProRes. AVCHD is not the compatible format for FCP.
